Petapp

Problem

How can we offer reliable and proven pet care? We have identified a gap in the market where there is a lack of dependable and verified pet care options for individuals who rely on personal support networks, which can be time-consuming and not always available. Additionally, placing pets in a hotel is not a suitable option as it can cause confusion for the animals.

Approach

Developing a digital product solution that allows pet owners to connect with reliable pet caregivers who can provide services within the pet owner's home.

Role

I participated as a student in the UX school Screensaverz under the mentorship of Amedea Derenda Mujezinović.

Process

01 Defining the problem

This involved conducting interviews with pet owners and creating a research wall based on interviews with pet owners.

02 Creating a persona that reflects this problem.

03 Generating ideas

Used the Crazy 8 method to generate ideas.

04 Prototyping an app in Figma.
05 Conducting in-person testing

Performed a qualitative study and conducted concept testing, specifically focusing on the insurance option.

Research findings

The concept of insurance within the application has some limitations as the cost-benefit ratio does not align. Pet accident insurance is relatively expensive in the market, and none of my participants expressed a willingness to spend such a significant amount of money on additional insurance.

Learnings

Tell your participants that you are testing the concept and not their knowledge, prototype as fast as possible to test the concepts and usability, using Figma for the first time.
